2006 NBA Playoffs

Who do you think is going to come out victorious?

I think the top teams have to be, in this order...

1) Pistons--
2) Suns
3) Spurs
4) Heat
5) Nets

In that order. I'm a pistons fan, have been since I was born. Was only 3 when they were the bad boys, grew up as a kid when they were pretty bad. Was a Grant Hill fan for a while, he disappeared, and then so did Jerry Stackhouse.

Watched them pretty much casually for a while. The one day, they were in the playoffs, and came out of nowhere as like the number 5 team to take on the number 1 team, the lakers. Everyone was saying LAKERS in 4. Bullshit. My pistons almost swept the lakers if it wasnt for a out of nowhere lucky day 50 foot three pointer by Kobe to win the game with about 2 seconds left.

Then... comes next year. Game 7 of the championship. Spurs vs Pistons. IMO, the pistons lost the last 2 minutes of this entire series and pretty much handed it to the spurs.

But, I think they are taking it home this year.

Spurs are the team to beat, without a doubt. They are very strong, and I dont think any one could stop them.

Pistons will be in the final. Again a very strong team, but I don't think they have the leadership that Duncan brings to the Spurs. Also under a new coach.

Dallas or Suns will face Spurs in West Final. I say Dallas, only because Stoudimire is injured. If he was healthy though, Suns would win it all easily.

Heat or Cavs will meet Pistons in East Final. I don't really like the Cavs, and Lebron is their whole team, but I think he'll lead them there.

How does your top 5 not consist of Dallas? Dallas is probably the 2nd best team in the West, even if they didn't get the ranking to show it. They're gonna make some major damage in the playoffs.

i have to go with the mavericks. They are looking pretty good and i think they have a good shot on beating the spurs and making it to the championships playing against the detroit pistons. I already got a lot of money riding on them. Plus Jason Terry is from seattle, Wa. Gotta support him since that is where i am from.

I hate detroit and the spurs. I like going for underdogs i would be so excited to see dallas beat san antonio and cleveland beat detroit but i doubt that will happen. I'm rooting for phoenix all the way but i don't think they have what it takes because of their horrible defense. My 2nd pick would be dallas for sure i think their team is the best they've had yet even when they had nash van exel and made it to the semi finals 2003 i think? Anyway if detroit takes it over the spurs i will be happy because i just can stand that team, duncan = boring to watch.

suprislingly im from Michigan and i hate the pistons last couple years ive been with the heat when shaq came before that i was with the lakers

I think miami is going to take it.Although mavericks are very good miami is just to stacked to loose.its Gonna be a great series regardless of who wins.
